The ESCO project covers retrofitting of the following facilities for energy conservation:

·          Factories, etc: Industrial Fields.

Ordinary energy-saving retrofitting work is conducted step-by-step, beginning with parts that can be remodeled. The ESCO project, however, examines all retrofitting work that has the potential to save energy in the planning stage, and proposes comprehensive solutions based on consideration and balancing of the length of the recovery term, project profitability, and energy effect. The ESCO project can offer optimal retrofitting for energy conservation through comprehensive examination of the entire facility.

When introducing ESCO project in retrofitting for energy saving, ESCOs are engaged in all the processes from audit and retrofitting work to operation management of the facilities installed. They are also responsible for monitoring and validation of energy savings resulting from retrofitting.It is thus possible for them o guarantee energy-saving effects.In the case of ordinary energy-saving retrofitting project, however, contracts for design, installation and operation management are drawn up separately. Accordingly, it is difficult to achieve adequate energy saving.
