First company in the world to produce commercial grade green hydrocarbons from mixed waste plastics. The entire technology was developed by Prof. (Dr.) Alka Zadgaonkar in Nagpur, India . Research is presently in progress to further improve the process and optimize the operating parameters on a continual basis.

 

The aim of the organization is to provide high quality cost competitive state-of-art solutions for the management of waste plastics obtained from the Municipal Solid Waste stream in India and abroad. The facility in Nagpur, India has been identified as one of the largest single location mixed waste plastics recycling and hydrocarbon producing complex in the world.

 

Realizing the huge potential of using the energy available in Waste Plastics, the Company has acquired the Indian business and is also working on International business on a case to case basis. The company has gradually modified the technology and commercialized it to make it suitable for processing of Waste Plastics generated in the country.

The aim is to minimize the waste plastics reaching the landfills and also to preserve the natural resources and the environment in its pristine state as it is imperative to protect the environment for our future generations.

 

The mixed waste plastics referred above is a part of the Municipal solid Waste generated in all parts of the world.  We in India generate over 50 million tons of municipal Solid Waste, which would contain about 10 % of mixed waste  plastics. Only about 40-50 % of the waste plastics produced is presently being recycled. The balance is sent to the landfill  or remains strewn all over the countryside. Our technology and processes would go a long way in making the MSW processing projects viable keeping in view the attractive returns possible from the ventures utilizing waste plastics.

 

The waste plastics is converted to Green Hydrocarbons which could be used to generate electric power. The process could also convert various types of Waste Oils like waste auto lubricating oils, refinery sludge’s etc. into Green Hydrocarbons, which could also be used in the DG Sets to produce Power/Electricity.

 

In the process of conversion of mixed waste plastics into green hydrocarbons, random depolymerization is carried out in a specially designed reactor in the absence of oxygen and in the presence of certain catalytic additives. 100 % conversion of mixed waste plastics into green hydrocarbons is achieved as it is a closed loop process and there are no emissions into the atmosphere.

 

The quality of the green hydrocarbons is superior when compared to those presently available in the market. The mixed waste plastic is easily available as it is a renewable source of energy. The green hydrocarbons produced can be sold as such and can also be used to generate electricity. It is expected that 33 tons per day of mixed waste plastics feedstock could produce 8MW of electric power with 85 % PLF from the liquid and gaseous green hydrocarbons.

 

The process is indeed unique as in the absence of air green hydrocarbons are produced, which would go a long way in solving the energy crisis we are presently facing.

 

It was natural for the Company to diversify from the area of Energy Savings to Energy generation and distribution for captive purposes in the initial phase of its foray into the area of energy generation.

Our products range from high quality liquid Green Hydrocarbons with certified uses in the following important sectors:

1. Electricity Generation utilizing Diesel Generating Sets.

2. As a fuel for agricultural pumps 

3. As a marine / bunker fuel

4. As a fuel for boilers

5. As a feed stock for oil refineries

6. It could also be used in lieu of fuel oil. 

 The gaseous and solid products are also easily marketable to industries using LPG, metallurgical industries and power plants.
